The Macau Poker Cup kicks off a brand new season this week, with four side events leading up to the Red Dragon Main Event on Friday, March 5. The Main Event carries a prize pool guarantee of HK$1 million.

Last season’s Macau Poker Cup series provided no shortage of thrills and action, and culminated in Taiwan’s Kitty Kuo claiming the Player of the Year award, with South Korea’s Tae Joon Noh following closely in second place. This season promises to be even more exciting, as poker continues to gain momentum in Asia’s gaming capital. You can buy in directly to the Main Event for HK$10,000 or try your luck in one of the satellite qualifiers for as little as HK$240.

A host of top Asian professionals are expected to be at the event, including Team PokerStars pros Bryan Huang, Celina Lin, Raymond Wu and Tae Joon Noh, as well as local favourite ‘Bao Bao’ Chen Daoxing, December winner Devan Tang, Australian pros Michael Marvanek and Julian Cohen as well as Chinese online sensation Tao Jin, who will be seeking his first live tournament cash in Asia.

The Macau Poker Cup is presented by PokerStars Macau, located on the second floor of the Grand Lisboa Hotel and Casino. Baller is the official magazine of the Macau Poker Cup.
